Cocaine Baggies Found During Traffic Stop: Marple Police
Police said a traffic stop led them to find 69 plastic baggies filled with a chunky white substance that tested positive for cocaine.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Felony drug and related charges have been filed against a Philadelphia man who Marple Township Police said was in possession of packaged cocaine and weapons.
According to court records, Tyree Mayo, 40, of Philadelphia is charged with felony drug possession, drug paraphernalia possession, and illegal weapons charges in addition to traffic violations.
Mayo's charges stem from a traffic stop that occurred at 2:04 p.m. on April 19, police said.

Police stopped a Ford Econoline van with a temporary Delaware registration that returned "No record" when checked.
Police said when the officer was talking with Mayo, he smelled cannabis in the van and saw a plastic bag with cannabis in the cup holder.

Mayo was taken into custody and police found a flip knife with metal knuckles and a sandwich bag with 69 small orange baggies containing a chunky white substance that tested positive for cocaine on him.
Mayo was remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility after failing to post 10 percent of $100,000 bail, court records show.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 20.
