On Oct. 16th, the three men drove to the victim’s residence on the 200 block of South 4th Street, and one of the men who knew the victim knocked on his door.
The victim allowed the man into the home and the two began speaking. The male then stepped out of the house and seconds later, came back into the house with Young-Jenkins, while the third man remained in the get-away car.
Young-Jenkins had a silver long-barrel revolver in his hand, and immediately raised the weapon and shot the victim, the DA said.
According to the DA's office, Young-Jenkins and the other male then fled the residence and Young-Jenkins was observed on camera fumbling with something in his waistband area with both of his hands. Young-Jenkins and the other male jumped into a Mercedes Benz that was being operated by the third male, which then fled the area, the DA's office said.
The investigation is ongoing.
Young-Jenkins is being held without bail and is slated for a Nov. 3 preliminary hearing, court records show.
