Child Porn Production Lands Delco Man 50 Years In Prison: Report

ASTON, PA — An Aston man who was federally charged with producing child pornography will spend half a century in prison.

Charles A. Orlando, 46, was hit with a 50-year prison sentence in federal court last week after pleading guilty to five counts of manufacturing child pornography, two counts of receipt of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography, the Delaware County Daily Times reports.

Orlando, of Aston, was charged by then Delaware County District Attorney Katayoun Copeland in September 2018, but his case moved to federal court in November 2018 when he was hit with the above charges.

Authorities said Orland manufactured sexually explicit images involving two minor girls.

They also said he received and possessed an additional 1,300 pornographic images of children on the Internet.

Authorities said he had been committing these crimes since 2011.

Orlando's case in Delaware County remains open, and he is scheduled for a status conference on Aug. 14, court records show.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in conjunction with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rotella.
