• Rice's Market Announces Closing at End of the Year (TAPinto.net) — Rice's Market on Greenhill Road in New Hope, a staple since 1860, will permanently close at the end of 2026, with its final day set for Tuesday, December 29. Locals are already sharing memories of early-morning traffic, first jobs, and favorite food stands as the owners cite changing market conditions and an evolving economy, with no word yet on future plans for the 30-acre property.
   

• New Hope Man Arrested For Alleged Assault On Cop (newhopefreepress.com) — Police say a 27-year-old New Hope man was arrested after an alleged late-night disturbance at John and Peter's Place on South Main Street escalated into a struggle with officers and the bartender. Court records show he faces felony assault on a law enforcement officer and other charges, with a preliminary hearing set for December and bail now shifted to nonmonetary conditions.
