Card Skimmer Found At New Hope Giant Self-Checkout Machine: Police

NEW HOPE, PA — A card skimming device was placed on a self-checkout machine at the Giant supermarket in Logan Square off Rt. 202, police said. The device was on the self-checkout register at the local Giant sometime between June 1 and 10, Solebury Township Police said.

Police made the announcement after receiving numerous reports from local residents involving unauthorized use of credit and debit cards. All residents are being advised to check their accounts and statements for any fraudulent activity and report anything suspicious to police.

Police did not say how the skimming device ended up on the local self-checkout register.
