Irish Music Festival Coming To Bucks County Playhouse

Three acts will perform Irish music on March 15 in 16 at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope.

NEW HOPE, PA — The Bucks County Playhouse will host an Irish Music Festival on March 15 and 16. Performing will be The Galway Girls, The John Byrne Band, and The River Drivers.

The Galway Girls are scheduled to perform on Friday, March 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.

On Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m., The John Byrne Band will take the stage. According to the Playhouse, The John Byrne Band has been compared to Steve Earl, Lucinda Williams, the Pogues Christy Moore and Tom Waits. Tickets are $20.

Later that day, at 8 p.m., The River Drivers will take the stage. The band is made up of four friends and more than half a dozen instruments. Tickets are $25.

"The River Drivers have roots in Ireland and Scotland by way of the Borough of Bristol (Pennsylvania) and play a combination of traditional Irish tunes and songs, as well as folk music from America and the rest of the Anglo-Celtic world," according to information from the playhouse.
