Warren Kelemen, former Vice President at Middlesex County Community College, will be recognized as the organization's Volunteer of the Year.

The Volunteer of the Year Award is given each year to an individual who has dedicated significant time to serving Advancing Opportunities and has made a significant impact on the agency. Kelemen has served on the Board of Advancing Opportunities for the last twelve years. His leadership as a past president of the board has been critical to the agency during a time of incredible growth. During his tenure, Advancing Opportunities’ annual operating budget quadrupled, as did the number of people with disabilities the agency was able to serve.

“We have experienced extraordinary growth during Warren’s time on our board,” said CEO Jack Mudge. “Bold leadership from our volunteer Board of Directors has helped us to not only increase the number of people with disabilities we are able to reach but also to improve the level of service we provide. Warren has been a key part of that effort, and we look forward to recognizing him at the Hoedown.”
