Local actor stars in A Christmas Carol at Music Mountain Theatre
Local theatre, family friendly event

Local actor David Whiteman takes on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol for a 7th time, but it is the first time he’s performing this role at the brand-new Music Mountain Theatre in Lambertville, NJ.
A longtime Lambertville resident, Whiteman is a familiar face in the arts community. He has appeared as King Arthur in Spamalot, the Monster in Young Frankenstein, and Fagin in Oliver, just to name a few, all at the Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre, the former home of the company at Music Mountain Theatre.
Music Mountain Theatre is a 250 seat theatre located adjacent to the historic site of the Lambertville Music Circus. The theatre opened in October with Yeston & Kopit’s Phantom and offered Hairspray in November. Upcoming in the winter and spring are 42nd Street (January), Seussical (February), and A Chorus Line (March).

When asked about how A Christmas Carol has changed upon moving into this new space, Whiteman said, “This year brings the biggest change yet. A new theatre. A new place called home. I raise a toast to Christmas Future at Music Mountain Theatre. I am blessed. And that’s no humbug.”
A Christmas Carol plays the next two weekends – December 8, 9, 15, 16 at 8pm, 9, 10, 16, 17 at 3pm. Tickets are $22 for adults and $20 for seniors/students and are available online at www.musicmountaintheatre.org.
