Midway Fire Company Acquires Military Truck For Swiftwater Rescues
Members of the company, along with Chief 5 George Stahl and Committee Chair Jeff Griffin were on hand to welcome the arrival of the truck.

BUCKINGHAM, PA — The Midway Volunteer Fire Company in Lahaska has added a former military truck to its fleet.
Last week, the company took delivery of the truck, which will be used in support of the company’s newly-formed “Swiftwater Rescue Team”.

Members of the company, along with Chief 5 George Stahl and Committee Chair Jeff Griffin were on hand to welcome the arrival of the unique piece.
Over the coming weeks, fire company leaders said modifications will be made to the vehicle, including fabrication of rear seating, rear standing platform and access ladders, canopy, winch, emergency lighting and paint.

“This is an exciting time to be a member of MidwayVFC and especially exciting in the sense that this piece of equipment brings an added tool for our toolbox by helping to ensure the safety of our members, residents and the community at large,” said the company.
