New Jersey Man Faces Rape Charges In New Hope
New Hope Borough Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 11 West Mechanic Street for a report of a possible rape in progress.
NEW HOPE, Pa. — A New Jersey man faces one count of forcible rape after allegedly assaulting a woman in the area of 11 West Mechanic Street on July 1 just before midnight.

responded immediately.

Upon the arrival of police, officers located a male and female involved in a sexual encounter in an alleyway.
A resident informed police that she had became aware of the two subjects in the alleyway and yelled as to what was going on. The resident then told police that the 21 year old female had told her to call 911 and tell authorities that she was being raped.

A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Ryan E. Seabridge, 22, of Titusville, N.J., for the alleged sexual assault. He was charged with Rape Forcible Compulsion (F1) and Indecent Assault Forcible Compulsion.
Seabridge was arraigned before District Magistrate Armitage and bail was set at $500,000 or 10 percent cash. He was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility pending bail.
