NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope Eagle Fire Company on Sunday officially pushed its newest engine into the station during a housing ceremony.
The fire company officially housed Quint 46 during a traditional “push in” ceremony at the station on Sugan Road.
“A big thank you to our community and generous donors for your continuous support of the Eagle Fire Company,” the company wrote on its Facebook page.

The housing ceremony itself is steeped in fire company tradition dating back more than 100 years to a time when fire apparatus were pulled by teams of horses. In those days, firefighters had to unhook the horses and actually push their trucks into the station after a call.

The truck arrived at its new home earlier this month.
“It looks absolutely amazing,” posted the firefighters on Facebook shortly after its arrival. “We are so incredibly proud of it and looking forward to having it in service for our community.”
