June 19

  • At 4:26 p.m. New Hope officers were dispatched to a S. Main Bar for an assault. On arrival it was discovered that a female had back hand slapped an employee when asked to leave the establishment for causing a disturbance inside. On arrival officers were advised that the employee did not want to press charges. No further action taken.

  • Police on foot observed a fight breakout in front of a S. Main Street bar. The two males were separated. Both males one a 31 year old from Trenton, NJ and one 33 year old male from Somerset, NJ were cited for Disorderly Conduct.

June 17

  • New Hope Officers were dispatched to a S. Main Street parking lot for a domestic in progress. A 47 year old man from Levittown and a 51 year old woman from Philadelphia were involved in a heated domestic. The officers de-escalated the situation to a point where the subjects were calmed down and left the area peacefully.

  • A north Main Street resident called to report that her 2019 Red Mercedes Benz C43 with Pa. Reg. No. GAGA-186 had been taken from her driveway. The vehicle was recovered in Newark, N.J., with damage to the front end. The vehicle was processed and the police investigator is awaiting a return on DNA and fingerprint evidence. This is the second Mercedes vehicle taken over the past few months in New Hope. It appears to be the work of an active group of car thieves working out of the Newark, New Jersey area. The auto thieves target high-end vehicles. All residents are urged to lock their vehicles at night.
  • Enforcement officers advised that the leased parking signs in the Borough Hall Lot had been ripped from the ground and thrown into the cemetery. The video cameras that view the parking lot were reviewed and a Yardley man was identified from the video of his vehicle registration. Subsequently the man was cited for disorderly conduct.

June 9

  • New Hope officers were dispatched to a S. Main bar for an assault. On arrival it was discovered that a female had back hand slapped an employee when asked to leave the establishment for causing a disturbance inside. On arrival officers were advised that the employee did not want to press charges. No further action taken.

June 5

  • Officers on patrol were monitoring the noise level of motorcycles in the area of S. Main Street. A Harley Davidson motorcycle was believed to be of above the 87 decibel. level. The motorcycle was tested and found to be at 88 decibel. A warning was issued for the violation.

June 4

  • At 4:39 p.m. New Hope officers were dispatched to S. Main and E. Bridge Street for a report of a man in fatigues with a gun. Officers on arrival discovered that the male was in compliance with Pa Law. The man was openly carrying the semi-auto pistol in a holster. No action taken.

June 3

  • New Hope Officers were dispatched at 9:45 p.m. to a S. Main restaurant for a report of a domestic in progress in the parking lot. Officers found a male and female in a vehicle involved in a verbal argument on the property. After speaking with the couple the situation was de-escalated by the officers and the couple left the area calm and composed.
