10th Annual Newtown Library Company 5K Set For Oct. 1
The race will be held in conjunction with the 40th annual Market Day event in Newtown Borough.

Registration is now open for the 10th annual Newtown Library 5K Run/Walk, which will be held on the morning of Newtown Market Day, Oct. 1.
If you sign up by Labor Day, you'll get discounted registration at $25 a person. After Labor Day, the registration cost go up to $30 per person. To register, visit the Library website, Facebook page or stop by the library at 114 East Centre Avenue, Newtown.
The event will kick off with a yoga warm-up at 8:30 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. and will follow a trail through Newtown Borough. The race will end outside of the library, where the start of the Market Day booths and festivities are located.

T-shirts will be available for the first 100 participants and awards will be given to the top three males and top three females of each age category.

The race is held in conjunction with the 40th annual Newtown Market Day.
According to organizers, Market Day will feature a library book sale, live music, food, children’s events and games in addition to more than 70 crafters, demonstrators and artists displaying a wide variety of crafts, from spinning, quilting, rug hooking, fine arts, jewelry making, photography and blacksmithing.
