2 More Coronavirus Cases In Bucks, Both 'Easily Traced' To Source

Both cases are "easily traced to the source of infection," which means they're not a result of community spread, officials said.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County announced two new cases of the novel coronavirus have been confirmed, bringing the total to nine. But both cases are "easily traced to the source of infection" and both people are experiencing mild symptoms.

According to county officials, one person is the spouse of an elderly patient who remains in serious but stable condition at a local hospital after getting the virus. The spouse is confined at the couple’s home with mild symptoms, said Dr. David Damsker, director of the Bucks County Health Department.

The other case is an adult who came into contact with a person at an out-of-state gathering who later tested positive for the virus. This patient also has mild symptoms and is at home, Damsker said.

The cases were not the result of community spread, Damsker has concluded.
