Council Rock SD Superintendent Comments On Vandalism, Harassment Incidents
Dr. Robert Fraser said township police and the district are investigating the incidents.

Council Rock School District Superintendent Dr. Robert Fraser addressed the recent vandalism and harassment at Council Rock North High School at a Thursday meeting.
"As many of you know, in the aftermath of Tuesday's presidential election, we have experienced acts of vandalism and harassment that together quite frankly constitute acts of hate," Fraser said at the beginning of the meeting.
Fraser said he cannot stress the inappropriateness of the actions from the actors, saying law enforcement is aware of the incidents

"These incidents have been reported to the Newtown Township Police Department and investigation is currently being conducted by the police department, as well as by school district itself," he said. "My hope is that conversations occur both at home and at school so that collectively we solve any further incidents from occurring."
He said the behavior shown is "entirely unacceptable."

"Our community must be based on a mutual respect for all people," he said. "Anything less than that is unacceptable."
The vandalism and harassment occurred earlier this week after Tuesday's election.
The district said one incident occurred in a girls’ restroom, where on a hanging piece of paper someone wrote "I Love Trump," a derogatory comment about people who are gay and three swastikas; another incident occurred in a different girls’ restroom where someone wrote "If Trump wins, watch out!" on a toilet paper dispenser; two swastikas were drawn directly onto a boys' restroom stall; a Latina student found a note in her backpack telling her to return to Mexico; and inappropriate comments were reportedly made toward Latino students.
The incidents led a 2008 graduate of Council Rock North High School to pen a letter to students at his Alma mater, saying they have yet to experience the diversity of the world.
