Council Rock Teachers Receive $47,000 for Creative Projects

Council Rock Education Foundation awards over $47,000 to Council Rock classrooms to benefit students.

The Council Rock Education Foundation honored its newest awardees of outstanding innovative educators at a district school board meeting last month, awarding fifteen new Innovative Learning Grants to teachers and classrooms throughout Council Rock Schools to benefit K – 12 students.

Superintendent Dr. Robert Fraser extended congratulations to the grant recipients and Foundation for their dedication and commitment to the students of Council Rock. "The Education Foundation is a vital partner supporting the District's goal to provide the best possible educational opportunities to our students."

Each spring, the Education Foundation chooses proposals that most exemplify the Foundation's mission to support innovative experiences that enrich the excellent quality of education in Council Rock schools. The fifteen projects selected will bring new ideas into schools and classrooms for the 2019-2020 academic year, from Flexible Seating Classrooms to Rocketbooks, to Sensory Pathways and virtual reality field trips, just to name a few. Additional grants include programs in literacy, STEM, special education, and the Arts.
