Early Dismissal For Council Rock

NEWTOWN, PA —Due to the coming storm, Council Rock schools will dismiss early Thursday, Nov. 15. Snow is expected to move into the area in mid-morning, with 1 to 3 inches in the forecast. Precipitation will likely turn to rain and sleet by afternoon.

Here are the Council Rock dismissal times:

High school dismissal: 10:45 a.m.
Middle school dismissal: 11:30 a.m.
Elementary dismissal: 12:15 a.m.

PM Kindergarten is canceled and all after school activities are canceled.

For now, evening activities beginning at 7 p.m. or later will be held as scheduled, including the School Board meeting in which redistricting is on the agenda. "Evening activities may be re-evaluated later in the day as weather develops," an email from the district said.

Nearby, the Central Bucks School District is closed, and New Hope-Solebury also announced early dismissals.
