Flash Flood Watch In Place, More Heavy Rain Likely Monday: NWS
After two days of rain for much of the region, more downpours, thunderstorms and flooding are possible Monday in the Philadelphia region.

After two days of rain for much of the region, more downpours, thunderstorms and flooding are expected to hit the eastern part of Pennsylvania on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
A Hazardous Weather Outlook was issued for much of Pennsylvania, with the National Weather Service saying scattered, slow-moving torrential downpours may lead to localized flooding, especially in the afternoon and evening.
A flash flood watch is in effect until 11 p.m. for portions of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including the following counties: Bucks, Montgomery, Northampton and Lehigh. Mercer and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey are also under a flash flood watch.

Additional showers and thunderstorms are likely through Monday evening across the flood watch area. Rainfall from these showers and thunderstorms could lead to more flash flooding, especially in areas that have already received heavy rainfall, according to the NWS.
The potential exists through Monday evening for some locations to see 1 to 2 inches of new rainfall in less than an hour, according to the NWS.

Showers and thunderstorms over the weekend produced very heavy rain and serious flooding across the region, with 4 to 6 inches of rain falling in some locations.

Today: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday: A slight chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Northeast wind 3 to 5 mph.
