Full-Time Officer Joins The Force In Upper Makefield Township

NEWTOWN, PA - The Upper Makefield Police Department welcomed its newest officer to the force during a swearing in ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the district court in Newtown.

Officer Andrew Nagle, a native of Mercer County, New Jersey and a graduate of Rutgers University, was sworn in by Magisterial District Justice Mick Petrucci.

Officer Nagle, an emergency medical technician for the last nine years, has worked as a part-time officer for the last two years with the Yardley Borough, Morrisville Borough, and Tullytown Borough police departments.

“We know he is excited to continue his law enforcement career here in Upper Makefield Township and we are glad to have him on board," said Chief Mark Schmidt. "So, when you see him on patrol, please give him a warm welcome as he will be starting the field training program shortly!”
