Gordon Sawaya, 15, Council Rock North Student
Gordon Sawaya passed away Friday. The Council Rock North student also worked at Rick Steele's Gulf in Newtown.

Gordon Sawaya died peacefully Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 15.
Born in Abington, Pa., Gordon was the beloved son of Thomas and Kristine Garry Sawaya; and the grandson of Joan and Edward Sawaya, and Lorraine and Edward Garry.
Gordon was a student at Council Rock High School North and an employee of Rick Steele’s Gulf Station in Newtown.

During the spring and summer months for the past few years, Gordon cared for multiple lawns in Washington Village. He also had enjoyed competing in basketball, baseball, football, and wrestling, but in the most recent years, he had become fascinated with being mechanically inclined, and with that he started to build his own motorcycle. Gordon also enjoyed and cherished times spent with his family at their mountain home, fishing, and riding all terrain vehicles. Gordon will be greatly missed by everyone who has had the opportunity to know and love him.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, Gordon is survived by his four loving siblings, Matthew S. Sawaya and his wife, Chelsea, Kayleigh McAdams, Shannon and Rebekah Sawaya; his sister-in-law, Cheyenne Bartley; and his two beloved German Shepherds, Elsa and Lexi. He also is survived by his aunts and uncle, Claire and Ellen Sawaya, and Edward and Kim Garry; and his cousins, Eric and Jacqueline.

Gordon’s family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 4, from to 2 p.m. until his funeral service at 6 p.m. at Crossing Community Church, 80 Lower Silver Lake Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be held privately.
