NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A handful of youngsters took a short bike ride on Sunday afternoon to the Newtown Theatre to see the Steven Spielberg movie, "E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial."

The ride was organized by the Newtown Theatre and the Newtown Bicycle and Fitness Shop as a fun way to promote the showing of the iconic 1982 movie about a boy who befriends an alien and helps him find his way home.

Channeling the character of 10-year-old Elliott, the kids recreated the flying-bicycle chase scene from the 1982 movie as they rode their bikes to the movie, some of whom carried alien creatures with them in their front baskets.
