Newtown Weekend Picks: Market Day, Art in the Park

There are two events in Newtown this weekend you won’t want to miss.

The annual Newtown Market Day is Saturday (rain date Sunday). Market Day features crafters, demonstrations and artists, as well as food and live music. The event is a longstanding tradition in town. Festivities will be held in and around the Half Moon Inn, 105 Centre Ave. Click here for all the details.

Also Saturday is Newtown Township Parks and Recreation’s first-ever Art in the Park event. The event begins at 9 a.m. at Roberts Ridge Park. The day will be a chance for emerging and professional artists to showcase and sell their work and meet other artists. The event is free to the public; there is a fee for vendors.
