NY Man Wanted For ID Theft After Incident At Newtown Bank
The NY man used a fraudulent out-of-state driver's license in an effort to obtain banking information at a Newtown Twp branch, police said.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —An arrest warrant has been issued for a New York man who used a fraudulent license at a Newtown Township bank in an attempt to obtain account numbers, police said.
Police are seeking 53-year-old Nicholas William Galoppe of Bronx, N.Y. on charges of identity theft, access device fraud, and criminal conspiracy.
According to police, Galoppe went to the TD Bank on West Road on Feb. 21 and presented an employee with an out-of-state driver’s license. Wearing an arm sling, he provided a social security number and requested banking statements from TD Bank accounts in the name displayed on the driver’s license, police said.

A TD Bank employee became suspicious because they had been alerted that individuals were utilizing fraudulent out-of-state driver's licenses in an effort to obtain banking statements and make withdrawals from TD Bank customer accounts.
Sensing staff was suspicious of his activity, Galoppe fled and walked to a waiting vehicle, police said.
