Proceeds of the afternoon will support resident programming at Friends Village, a uniquely small and kind community for older adults in Newtown. The community hopes to replace its aged, gas-guzzling van with a plug-in hybrid that will be both more cost-effective and accessible for its residents and to create a walking path through its native plant meadow that would be fully-accessible for those with mobility challenges.
A 501(c)3 Quaker, non-profit organization, Friends Village seeks to be a community resource for healthy and active aging for all. Every ticket sold will play a vital role in supporting the community's initiatives and fostering a vibrant and sustainable future for both Friends Village and our world. All activities will be indoors and not be affected if the weather is inclement.
