• Parking, Safety Concerns Raised Over Plans For Preschool In Newtown (patch.com) — Newtown Township officials are weighing a proposal to convert the former Rite Aid at Goodnoe Corner Shopping Center into an Apple Montessori preschool with a fenced play area and saltwater pool. While the operator argues the weekday-only school would complement nearby restaurants and ease parking conflicts, several supervisors voiced strong safety and traffic concerns and urged consideration of the Newtown Business Commons instead, with a conditional use hearing expected in early September.

High Schools Among Top 100 In PA: U.S. News (patch.com) — Council Rock High School North in Newtown has been named one of Pennsylvania's top 100 high schools in new U.S. News & World Report rankings, placing 841st nationally. Five other Bucks County schools also made the statewide top 100 list. The rankings weigh test performance, graduation rates, college readiness, and how well schools serve underserved students.
