• Newtown Theatre announces new Executive Director (centralbucksnews.com) — Newtown residents will see a familiar face leading the historic Newtown Theatre as borough resident Peter Hall becomes executive director on November 1, succeeding Andy Smith. Hall, a longtime board member and driving force behind the theatre's concert series, plans to build on its role as a cultural hub for Newtown families and Bucks County audiences.
   

• Woodbourne Road In Middletown Scheduled For Repaving This Week (patch.com) — Drivers from Newtown heading through Middletown should expect lane closures on Woodbourne Road between Big Oak Road and Cobalt Ridge Drive this week, including around the train station. PennDOT crews will be milling and repaving during daytime and overnight hours, so commuters are urged to allow extra time for delays while the roadway is upgraded for a smoother, safer ride.
