Polly's ice cream locations are named in memory of her beloved grandmother, Mary Eleanor "Polly" Bailey, who used to joke that when life in Wrightstown was tough in the 1970s, she wanted to leave it all behind and open an ice cream shop.

Julia opened her first shop in Fetters Mill Square in Huntingdon Valley last year and her new shop in Newtown/Wrightstown on July 4.

The offerings include one-, two-, and three-scoop cones, cookie sandwiches, ice cream sodas, shakes, floats, banana splits, sundaes, and brownie sundaes, all made with a variety of toppings.

Her goal for both shops: "to stand out with exemplary customer service and cleanliness," standards by which she judges other businesses.
