Unattended Ceremony To Render Military Honors At Washington Crossing
Community encouraged to attend as four Bucks County veterans who have no families are laid to rest at the national ceremony.

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — The public is invited to an Unattended Veterans Service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown 18940 on Thursday, October 27 beginning at 2 p.m.
Four unclaimed Bucks County veterans will be interred with full military honors, according to Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck. The veterans are:
- Albert Reamy, U.S. Navy (Rank: SA) (World War II Era), from Bristol Township
- Lee Schantz, U.S. Army (Rank: PV2) (Persian Gulf War Era), from Springfield Township
- Richard Wilburn, U.S. Marine (Rank: PVT), from Quakertown Borough
- Stephen Williams, U.S. Air Force (Rank: AMN) (Vietnam War Era), from Bristol Township
During the ceremony, the names of the veterans will be read aloud and the Pennsylvania Military Honors team will present the flag on the behalf of the veterans. A rifle salute and live Taps will be provided.

After the ceremony, the veterans will each be placed in their own niche in the columbarium which will be engraved with the words, “Gone But, Not Forgotten." This will be the last Unattended Veterans Service held this year at the cemetery. Services will resume in January 2023.
