COVID Vaccine Booster Shot Appointments Now Available In Montco
Following federal approval and guidance, COVID-19 vaccine booster shots are now available in Montgomery County. Here's who is eligible:

NORRISTOWN, PA — Appointments for COVID-19 vaccine booster shots are now available for certain individuals in Montgomery County, as the Federal Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control issued approval and guidance this week.
Booster shots are only available for the Pfizer vaccine. Health officials are still evaluating boosters for Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, and have not issued recommendations at this time.
As for who is eligible, it's a limited crowd to start.

Anyone 65 and older may receive the booster, as well as residents in long-term care settings.
Individuals under 65 who have qualifying underlying conditions are also eligible, as are those who are increased work due to their employment.

Only those who have received the Pfizer vaccine for their first and second dose may sign up for a booster shot. Individuals are eligible for a booster six months after their second dose.
Appointments will begin next Monday, Sept. 27. They can be booked online here.
The county opened a fourth vaccine clinic this week and has expanded hours at all locations to accommodate additional appointments.
