At some point during their ride home, Harooni joked that she had received a text message from an ex, and Forman never let it go, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Videos and photos recovered from Forman's phone show Harooni bloodied and lying ont he ground, with Forman yelling in the background "This is what a cheating liar gets. You hear me?" according to authorities.

The next morning he called an Uber to take Harooni to the hospital, telling nurses and the Uber driver that she had gotten into a fight the night before, police said.

Forman's lawyer attempted to argue this week that there was not sufficient evidence and that the charges should be dismissed, according to the Mercury report. These arguments were unsuccessful.

Forman remains held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility, and no bail was posted. His next formal arraignment hearing has been scheduled for July 1.
