NORRISTOWN, PA -- Days after opening their own testing site, Norristown has now launched an online hub detailing their coronavirus response.

They are among the first municipalities in the region to publicly track the number of cases, deaths, and tests, and to offer an online hub with data broken down on the municipal level.

They were also among the first to open a community testing site strictly for residents of the municipality. The site at the Norristown Regional Health Center opened Wednesday.

"It's very important to the Municipal Council that Norristown residents have easy access to information and resources as we face the COVID-19 challenge," Crandall Jones, Norristown's Municipal Administrator, said in a statement issued Friday.

Norristown currently has 183 cases of the virus, and has seen eight deaths.
