4 Arrested For Fraud In Northampton
The suspects were captured after trying to pass a fake check on Second Street Pike, according to police.
NORTHAMPTON, PA — Four people have been arrested in Northampton on charges that they were involved in committing cases of fraud.
Officers found a laptop, 250 blank checks, fraudulently signed checks and fake time sheets, lease agreements and paychecks when the four were arrested on April 18, police announced Wednesday.
At about 3:15 p.m. that day, police say, the group had tried to pass a fake check at TruMark Financial, at 984 Second Street Pike. Police arrived at the bank and arrested Stephanie Shipman, 26, of Philadelphia, who had tried to pass the check.

While there, they learned there was a car involved in the case leaving the parking lot. Officers spotted the car, a silver Hyundai being driven by a man with two female passengers, leaving the bank parking lot.
Officers stopped the car and arrested George Ricketts Davis, 50, of Baltimore, MD, Pascale Roc, 40, of Bristol, and Nicole Cooper. All four were taken to police headquarters and processed. The Hyundai Sonata was seized and a search warrant was executed.

Police say the items recovered in the car were used by the group to commit, or attempt to commit, instances of fraud. Northampton Police are working with authorities in other jurisdictions where they believe the group committed similar crimes.
