By invitation of the Women’s Board of Abington Health Foundation, an eager group of 200 patrons assembled at The Barnes Foundation on the evening of October 20, 2012 for a most memorable experience. An Evening at the Barnes Foundation proved to be a sight, sound, and taste to behold. A lovely cocktail reception, replete with fine hors d’oeuvres and the soothing sounds of a harpist, flowed seamlessly into a private, self-paced tour of this famed art collection. Attendees had the unhurried opportunity to take in the works of some of the greatest masters of impressionism, post-impressionist and early modern art, along with much, much more. This was an event that managed to feed all of the senses quite magnificently.
