Amira Shokr, a junior vocalist at Northampton High School, will compete in the 2nd Annual RAISE YOUR VOICE High School Vocal Scholarship Competition. The competition will take place on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 7:30PM at Allentown Brew Works 'FIVE'.
Star of the Day Event Productions, who started the competition last year will sponsor the event.
There are a total of fifteen area high school vocalist - juniors and seniors - competing for the top prize.

The top scoring senior will receive a $250 cash scholarship plus more than $400 in prizes including a headshot package and professional performing arts coaching.
The top scoring junior will receive a $100 cash scholarship plus more than $300 in prizes including a headshot package and professional performing arts coaching.

The competition recruits judges outside the Lehigh Valley area. This year, the three judges include a former Metropolitan Opera Singer, a Broadway and Voice Over Actor, and a professional dancer/performing artist/playwright.
