October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Although many think that this horrible disease only affects women, they are wrong. This disease attacks and in many instances kills both men and women.
Recently, I gave pink, BCA, T-shirts to the members of our civilian staff in appreciation for all that they do for us everyday. I have also authorized them to wear their BCA shirts whenever they wished during October. So, if you see them wearing the shirts you now know why.
Further, if you have an opportunity to visit Meglio’s Pizza, Swamp Road, in Newtown by Council Rock HS North, you can pick up a shirt or raffle ticket for one of the many gifts the owners Bob & Bill Delia are chancing off for the Breast Cancer Foundation. Show the women in your life that you truly care for them and donate to help fight this disease.
