The sun came out to shine on the 2012 Abington Health Golf Outing, making the day for some 92 golfers at the Huntingdon Valley Country Club. After lunch and practice, it was time to hit the links with a 12:15 shotgun start. All par three holes offered a chance to win a prize if you managed to hit a hole in one. Although there were no winners for the Las Vegas vacation, a new driver, or a brand new car (a Mustang offered by John Kennedy Ford), there was still plenty of fun and friendship to go around. Everyone was able to qualify for the putting contest that closed out the round of golf, and golfer Carol Newburger stole the show on that count. A sports memorabilia auction arranged by Golf Outing Productions also was a big hit. Finally, as sunset neared, golfers capped off this year’s very successful event with a reception that included drinks, appetizers, dinner and the pleasure of one another’s company.
