An Exhibit of Fine Instruments, Bows and Accessories

When Wood Sings, an exhibit for orchestral string musicians, brought to you by Montero Violins and held at Hotel Bethlehem, will be the epicenter for today’s instruments, bows as well as the latest accessories the music industry has to offer.

This exhibit is being presented in an effort to gather orchestral string musicians, in one venue, to view today’s instruments, bows and accessories as well as to provide informational seminars (at no cost) to enhance your musical knowledge.


It is our mission at Montero Violins to provide the very best the music industry has to offer. We strive to represent the instruments and bows of the most reputable workshops and makers. In today’s world, there are more options than ever and almost impossible to cover every single maker and distributor. We invite you to be a part of this exhibit and hope to see you there!

All About Strings: Join string expert, Kevin Reynolds of Glasser Bows Inc.
Learn the differences between strings, what they are made of and how to choose the best string for your instrument. 11:00am


How to Keep Your Instrument Singing: Michael Montero, Montero Violins
A Guide to Proper Instrument Setup & Maintenance. What is set-up? How does it affect your instrument? How to properly care for your instrument. 1:00pm


How to Choose the Best Shoulder Rest and Chin Rest for Your Violin or Viola:
Bring your instrument! Sample many different chin rests and shoulder rests to find the best combination for maximum comfort. All day


There will be a table with information concert schedules, performance opportunities, etc.


Quartet performances by the Young People's Philharmonic 12:00pm.


These workshops are open to the public and are free of charge. Please contact us via e- mail if you are interested to we have a rough estimate on participants. Please type ‘workshops’ in the subject portion of the e-mail.
