Fire Reported Near Churchville Nature Center
The Northampton Township Police Department released its blotter of criminal incidents from Dec. 18 to Dec. 24.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Several fires were reported and numerous traffic accidents were handled by the Northampton Township Police Department, which released its blotter of criminal incidents from Dec. 18 to Dec. 24.
During this tour, Patrol handled 18 Alarm Calls; 7 Abandoned 911 Calls; 52 Medical Emergencies; 14 Bookings; 6 Domestic Disputes; 5 Civil Disputes; 51 Traffic Monitoring Details, and 7 Crime Prevention Details.

Dec. 18
Motor Vehicle Theft —Patrol responded to the area of Kings Way for two motor vehicles that had been stolen. During the incident, the vehicle owner pursued the suspects in his vehicle to the area of Buck Road and Rocksville Road. The stolen vehicle crashed and at least one of the suspects inside fired several shots at the vehicle owner. No one was injured and the incident is under investigation by Detectives.

Theft from Motor Vehicle —Patrol responded to the following locations for theft from motor vehicles. These areas include Woodlake Drive, Wooden Bridge Road, Nelson Drive, and Chinquapin Road. Incidents are under investigation by Detectives.
Road / Traffic Hazard —Due to the weather, areas of the township had flooding on the roadways. Areas included Almshouse Road (between Hatboro Road and Spencer Driver). Sackettsford Road (between Old Jacksonville Road and Rushland Road) and Buck Road (between Stoneyford Road and Mill Pond Road). Barricades were placed in these areas until the roadway was determined to be safe to operate on.
Road / Traffic Hazard —Patrol responded to Churchville Lane for a tree in the roadway. Patrol was able to move the tree out of the roadway.
Fraud —The complainant reports that they received a change of address letter from PennDOT which they did not do. They were able to take care of the incident with PennDOT. After a few weeks, they were notified that someone gained access to their bank accounts. Information was gathered and forwarded to Detectives.
Fraud —The complainant reports fraudulent charges on their store credit card made in a different state. They had contacted the store and their store credit card had been canceled. The complainant was given an ID theft packet and the incident report number for their records.
Found Animal (Dog) —Patrol responded to the area of Jasons Way for a found dog. Information was gathered and a short time later, the dog owner was located.
Fires —Patrol responded to Holly Hill Road for a fire. Once on scene, it was determined that there was an issue with the stove. This was causing a smoke condition inside the home. The incident was turned over to the Northampton Township Fire Department.
Warrant Arrest —Patrol responded to the area of Hatboro Road for a suspicious person who was caught on the complainant’s home camera. The description was given and the patrol located the individual on Bristol Road. The individual was identified and taken into custody for an active warrant.
Dec. 19
DUI Arrest —Patrol initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Holland Road for a traffic and equipment violation. Through investigation, the driver was taken into custody for the suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Traffic Accident — Patrol responded to the 400 block of Fairhill Drive for a traffic accident. Unit # 1 was backing out from their driveway when they struck unit # 2 which was on the street. The tow was not required.
Fraud —The complainant reports that they received a credit card in the mail that they did not apply for. They were able to contact the credit card company to have the incident resolved.
Traffic Accident (Hit and Run) —Patrol responded to the 700blk of Newtown-Richboro Road for a traffic accident. Unit # 1 was traveling eastbound on Newtown-Richboro Road when unit # 2 pulled out into the traffic lane. As a result, contact was made. The driver of unit # 2 left the scene. Unit # 2 is described as a red Mazda sedan with front driver-side damage. A tow was not required.
Dec. 20
Assist - Police Department —This agency (K-9 Unit) assisted the Warminster Township Police Department with searching for individuals who were attempting to enter parked vehicles in their township.
Fires —Patrol responded to the area of Paisley Road for a fire. Northampton Township Fire Department checked the home and found an electrical issue. The homeowner would be following up with an electrician to address the issue.
Theft from Motor Vehicle —Patrol responded to the area of Danby Court for a theft from a motor vehicle. The complainant reported that sometime between the dates of 12/19/2023 to 12/20/2023, an unknown individual(s) entered their vehicle and stole miscellaneous items. The case was forwarded to Detectives.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to the area of Middle Holland Road and St. Leonards Road for a traffic accident. Unit # 1 had stopped on St. Leonards Road and was attempting a left onto Middle Holland Road. While turning, unit # 1 made contact with unit # 2 which was turning onto St. Leonards Road from Middle Holland Road. No tow was required.
Suspicious Person —Patrol responded to the area of Hidden Cove Drive for a suspicious person. The complainant reports a man was seen taking pictures of their home earlier in the day. The male left the area operating a white Chevrolet Impala.
Suspicious Person —The complainant reports that an unknown person took photographs of their property on Milbob Drive. The individual is described as a white female wearing black pants and a black sweatshirt jacket. They were seen operating a white Volkswagen SUV.
Dec. 21
Fraud —The complainant reported that they received a change of address letter from PennDOT. Following this letter, they found that someone was able to gain access to their bank account. Information was gathered and the case is being investigated.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to the area of Newtown-Richboro Road and Fir Drive for a traffic accident. Unit # 1 was traveling westbound on Newtown-Richboro Road when it struck unit # 2 which was stopped in the same travel lane. As a result, unit # 2 struck unit # 3 which was also stopped in the same lane of travel. A tow was required for all vehicles involved.
Traffic Accident (Deer Involved) —Patrol responded to the area of Churchville Lane for a traffic accident. Unit # 1 was traveling on Churchville Lane when a deer ran into the roadway. As a result, contact was made. A tow was not required.
Dec. 22
Traffic Accident (Deer Involved) —Patrol responded to the area of Lower Holland Road for a traffic accident. Unit # 1 was traveling on Lower Holland Road when a deer entered the roadway. As a result, contact was made. No tow was required.
Suspicious Vehicle —Patrol responded to the area of East Holland Road and Larch Circle for a suspicious vehicle. The complainant reported a vehicle following a delivery truck. Patrol checked the area.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to the area of Bridgetown Pike and Van Dyke Drive for a traffic accident. Unit # 2 was traveling northbound on Bridgetown Pike and had stopped to make a left turn onto Van Dyke. While stopped, unit # 2 was struck by unit # 1 which was traveling the same direction. One vehicle was towed from the scene. Found Animal Patrol reported to the area of Highland Drive for a found dog. After a short period of time, owner was located.
Assist - Police Department —This agency (K-9 Unit) assisted Lower Southampton Township Police Department in searching for a resident who had gone missing.
Dec. 23
Suspicious Person —Patrol responded to the area of Adele Drive for a suspicious person. The complainant reported seeing someone on their property. Once on location, contact was made with the individual employed with 811 (call before you dig) who was in the area to mark out utilities.
Assist – Agency —Patrol responded to Churchville Lane for the report of a fire around the Churchville Nature Center. The incident was found inside the jurisdiction of the Bucks County Park Rangers. Patrol assisted as needed.
Dec. 24
Traffic Accident / DUI Arrest —Patrol responded to the Richboro Plaza Shopping Center for a traffic accident. Once on scene, contact was made with the driver of unit # 1 who had struck several parked vehicles. Through the investigation, the driver was taken into custody for the suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
NVC 911 Call —Patrol responded to the 1200 block of Almshouse Road for an SOS button that was activated from a vehicle. Contact was made with the vehicle owner who reported that the SOS button was hit by accident. There were no problems.
