NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —

The Northampton Township Police Department reported its blotter of criminal incidents for the period of June 12 through June 18.

During this tour, Patrol responded to 20 alarm calls, 31 abandoned 911 calls, 32 medical calls, seven bookings, four domestic disputes, 59 traffic monitoring details, and 28 crime prevention details.

Warrant Arrest —While on patrol, officers made a traffic stop on Buck Road. Through an investigation, the driver was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant. The driver was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The driver was transported to headquarters, where they were processed on the outstanding arrest warrant, arraigned before the District Judge, and transported to Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Fraud —Patrol responded to Nikol Drive for a report of fraud. The complainant states they were applying for a remote job, online and provided their personal information to Wondry Wine at a site called grabjobs.com. Once they applied, they received a text message directing them to set up a telegram account for an interview. The complainant states they were mailed a check for $4,995 to purchase a laptop. They were also advised to buy a $400 Walmart gift card, which they did. At this point, the complainant became suspect of the job. They notified their bank that the deposit of the $4,995 may have been fraudulent and the Complainant did not provide the gift card information to anyone. Patrol instructed them to contact one of three main credit bureaus.

Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Buck and Stoneyford Road for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #2 was traveling on Buck Road when Unit #1 attempted to turn left off of Buck Road onto Stoneyford Road and struck Unit #2 on the driver’s side of their vehicle. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. EMS was refused.

Hit & Run —The complainant came into headquarters to report a hit and run. They stated that they were parked at a business on Second Street Pike. When they came back to their car, there was a note indicating their vehicle had been bumped and a telephone number. When they checked their vehicle, they observed damage to the rear driver's side of their new vehicle. Patrol attempted to contact the phone number left on the note with no success. A message was left.

Theft —The complainant called to report a theft at their residence. They stated that they hired a moving company to move some furniture to their home, which was done. They later found that a firearm was missing from the home. The area was processed for evidence. The case was referred to detectives.

Juvenile Problem —Patrol responded to Saint Leonard's Road for a report of a juvenile problem. The complainant states they were riding their bicycle in the Tapestry Development when a group of juveniles walked up and began yelling at them and pushed them off their bike. They did not recognize the juveniles but wanted the incident documented.

Fraud —The complainant called to report fraud. They stated they were using their computer when a virus alert popped up. The complainant’s husband called the phone number and gave his social security number and checking account, before realizing it was a scam. They immediately ended the call and contacted their bank which closed their account. They were advised to contact all three credit bureaus and advise of the fraud.

Well-Being Check —Patrol responded to a parking lot on 2nd Street Pike for a report of a person slumped over the steering wheel. The complainant reports honking their horn and getting no response from the individual. Patrol knocked on the window and the individual woke up. They indicated they had stopped to put air in their tire and fell asleep.

Threats —Patrol responded to the District Court on Township Road for a report of an individual with a firearm. Patrol made contact with the individual, who was visibly agitated and being loud. The individual was taken into custody, searched, and a firearm was found, despite signs stating firearms are not permitted in the building. The individual was processed, charge, arraigned, and transported to Bucks County Correctional Facility as they were unable to post bail.

Accident —Patrol responded to Lenape Road for a report of an individual falling through their attic ceiling and being stuck on a joist in their foyer. Upon arrival, Patrol found the homeowner hanging on a joist over the front hall foyer. Along with help from the Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Department, they were able to safely get the homeowner down without further incident.

Found Property —The complainant came into headquarters with a wallet that had been found in parking lot on 2nd Street Pike. The owner was identified by information found in the wallet. Officers were unable to locate a phone number, but did have the police in the municipality where the owner lived go out to that address and advise of the found wallet.

Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Buck Road for a two-vehicle accident in a parking lot. Unit #2 was parked when Unit #1 attempted to back out of their parking space and hit Unit #2. Unit #1 left without providing their information, although they spoke with the driver of Unit #2. Patrol was able to locate them by the information provided by witnesses on the scene. The Unit #1 driver was located and didn’t realize they couldn’t leave the scene.

Found Property —Patrol responded to Highland Drive for a report of found property. The complainant stated that they found a bicycle on their front lawn this morning. Patrol secured the bike and entered it into property at headquarters.

Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to West Bristol Road for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #2 was stopped on West Bristol Road for a red traffic signal when Unit #1 attempted to pass Unit #2 to turn left, but struck the side of Unit #2. Both vehicles sustained damages but no tow was required. No injuries were reported.

Solicitor Complaint —Patrol responded to Ann Circle for a solicitor complaint. The complainant states they saw a vehicle driving around placing information on mailboxes for painting services. While checking the area, Patrol found two men who were placing the flyers. They were advised of the ordinance regarding solicitation. Both left the area.

Attempted Burglary —Patrol responded to Brentwood Place for a report of an attempted Burglary. The complainant reports their neighbor’s front door was forced open. Patrol arrived to find the door appeared to be kicked in, the door frame was broken. Officers checked the house and did not find anyone in it, nor did it appear to be ransacked. The homeowners came home a short time later and indicated they had been away, but that their landscaper had been there that day. The landscaper indicates that the door was shut when they were there, narrowing the time the incident happened. The homeowners walked through the home and did not notice anything missing or out of place. The case was referred to detectives.
