Gold Bars Fraud, Underage Drinking Party Top Northampton Twp. Crimes
Northampton Township Police also reported two hit-and-run crashes in issuing a recent report of criminal incidents.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —It was a graduation party and the parents were out of the country, police said.
Northampton Township Police responded to a South Marmic home for a report of an underage drinking party where they found many juveniles attempting to flee the scene.
While the juveniles were rounded up, police also discovered a girl unconscious and called for EMS who transported her to St. Mary Medical Center. The others were released to their parents and/or an adult relative. Police were following up with the parents upon their return.

The Northampton Township Police Department reported its police blotter of criminal incidents for the period of May 29 to June 4.
During the period, Patrol handled 25 alarm calls, 33 abandoned 911 calls, 28 medical calls, nine domestic dispute calls, four bookings; 79 traffic monitoring details, and five crime prevention details.

Here are the criminal incidents:
5/29/23
Fire —Patrol responded to Stallion and East Holland for a report of smoke and fire coming from the shrubs. Upon arrival, patrol found a small amount of smoke coming from the mulch in the median. Northampton Township Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire.
05-30-23
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to East Bristol Road and Bustleton Pike for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #2 was traveling on Bustleton Pike and stopped for the stop sign, entered the intersection, and struck Unit #1, who came through the intersection. Unit #1 was towed from the scene and no injuries were reported.
Hit & Run —Patrol responded to Cloverly Drive for a report of property damage. The complainant states that while inside their home they heard a loud noise and when they went outside to investigate found that their mailbox and recycling contained had been hit by a vehicle that left the area. The complainant was able to repair the mailbox.
05-31-23
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Bustleton Pike and Valley Drive for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was traveling on Bustleton Pike behind Unit #2 when Unit #2 stopped and Unit #1 was unable to stop in time and struck the back of Unit #2. Both vehicles sustained damage and Unit #1 was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
Burglary —Patrol responded to a burglary alarm for a business on Buck Road. Patrol found that the front door had been smashed and money and product stolen from the business. A review of surveillance cameras was made and the incident is currently under investigation.
Theft —The complainant came into headquarters to report a theft. The complainant states that they left their wallet and their keys in their vehicle and they locked their vehicle with an app. The next morning, they received fraud alerts on one of their credit cards indicating that there was fraudulent usage. The complainant went to their vehicle and found it unlocked and three of their credit cards missing from their wallet. They closed their accounts. The case was referred to detectives.
06-01-23
Parking Complaint —Patrol responded to a parking lot on Buck Road for a report of people illegally parking in the fire lane. Upon arrival, patrol did not observe anyone illegally parked in the fire lane, but remained on the scene to monitor the situation.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Middle Holland Road and Rock Way for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #2 was on Rock Way crossing over Middle Holland Road with the green light when they were struck by Unit #1 who failed to stop for the red light at Middle Holland Road. Unit #1 was towed from the scene; no injuries were reported.
06-02-23
Fire —Patrol responded to Sackettsford Road for a dwelling fire. Upon arriving, the fire was quickly spreading throughout the residence, it was determined that all of the residents had evacuated out of the home. Northampton Township Fire Department arrived and was able to extinguish the fire and took over the investigation.
Fraud —The complainant contacted headquarters to report possible fraud. The complainant states that someone made a purchase through AT&T using their information. The complainant is not an AT&T subscriber. When they contacted AT&T, they were not very responsive to inquiries. The complainant did not have any more information, other than the initial email. They were advised to contact one of the three credit bureaus and complete an online fraud complaint with the federal government.
Fraud —The complainant came into headquarters to report fraud. They stated they previously noticed their debit card had been used to buy a BB Gun in New Jersey and reported the same to police at the time. The complainant notified their bank, which canceled the transaction and the debit card and issued a new card. Now they found fraudulent charges on the new debit card, which they have also reported to their bank, again the bank closed their card. The case was referred to detectives.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Stoneyford and Buck roads for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was traveling on Stoneyford Road, where traffic was backed up, Unit #1, intending to make a left turn, was passing traffic waiting for the light, when they struck Unit #2 with their passenger side mirror. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and there were no injuries.

Fire —Patrol responded to Tulip Road for a report of a fire. The complainant reports that they plugged in their curling iron and the outlet started smoking and lit on fire. Northampton Township Fire Department arrived and cleared the scene.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Buck and Stoneyford Roads for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Upon arriving Patrol found the accident had taken place at Stoneyford and E. Village Roads. Unit #1 was attempting to make a left off of E. Village Road onto Stoneyford when they collided with Unit #2 who was traveling on Stoneyford Road. The driver of Unit #2 reported pain and was seen by EMS on scene. Unit #2 was towed from the scene.

Fraud —The complainant came into headquarters to report fraud. The complainant states that they ordered three gold bars from eBay. When they received the gold bars, they were found to be counterfeit. The complainant contacted eBay regarding the transaction and they suggested Complainant file a police report. The case was referred to detectives.
Hit and Run —Patrol responded to the parking lot on 2nd Street Pike for a report of hit and run. The complainant states that they parked their vehicle and went into the business, when they came out they found damage to the driver’s side of their vehicle. There was no one around and no note left. Patrol will attempt to follow up with the business and obtain surveillance videos.
Criminal Mischief —Patrol responded to Misty Meadow Drive for a report of criminal mischief. The complainant states that sometime overnight their vehicle was keyed. A check of the area was made of surveillance cameras.
