Gunpoint Craigslist Robbery Reported In Bucks County

Breaking: Police say a Bucks County man arranged a meeting to buy a phone through Craigslist and then robbed the seller at gunpoint.

WARMINSTER, PA — A 20-year-old Bucks County man has been arrested after authorities say he targeted a Craigslist user and robbed him at gunpoint during what the victim believed was going to be a sale transaction. Shane Wilcox-Wallace of Warminster has been arrested after authorities used social media to track him down. He is charged with numerous felonies, including robbery and criminal use of a communication facility.

According to police, Wilcox-Wallace contacted the victim regarding a phone posted for sale on the popular online classifieds website. The victim told police he went to meet Wilcox-Wallace, who he thought was an interested buyer, on Wednesday around 10:30 p.m. at Street and Davisville roads in Warminster Township.

But instead of making the sale, the victim was robbed at gunpoint for his phone, police said. After the alleged robbery, Wilcox-Wallace fled on foot and the victim, who was not injured, left the area to call 9-1-1.
