NORTHAMPTON, PA — A string of auto accidents, including one DUI crash and two hit and runs, highlighted the recent police report from the Northampton Township Police Department.
Here's a look at some of the incidents handled by Northampton police in recent days, as reported by the department on Monday:
Friday, Feb. 1- Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Almshouse Road at Hatboro Road. The driver reports she was traveling on Almshouse Road attempting to turn into a parking lot, when a vehicle turned in front of her striking her vehicle. All occupants of both vehicles were transported to the hospital, both vehicles were towed from the scene.
- Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Jacksonville Road at Pulinski Road. The driver reports he was stopped at the traffic light when he was rear ended. No injuries reported.
- Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Bustleton Pike and Lower Holland Road. The driver reports she was attempting to turn onto Bustleton Pike when she was struck by a passing vehicle. No injuries reported.
- Drugs. Patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Almshouse Road at Second Street Pike with an expired PA registration sticker. A traffic stop was conducted and a strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. Marijuana and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. The male driver was taken into custody processed and released.
- Drugs. Patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Bustleton Pike at West Bristol Road with an expired PA inspection sticker. A Traffic Stop was conducted and a strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. Marijuana and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. The male driver was taken into custody, processed and released.
- Drugs. Patrol observed a suspicious vehicle traveling on Durham Place near Weymouth Place. A traffic stop was conducted and a strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. Marijuana and paraphernalia were found. The male driver was taken into custody, processed and released.

- Criminal Mischief. Complainant on Eagle Mount Drive reports finding that an unknown actor damaged the post to her mailbox. No value reported.
- Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Newtown-Richboro Road at Spring Garden Mill Road. The driver reports she was stopped in traffic when her vehicle was rear ended. No injuries reported.
- Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Almshouse Road at Joshua Drive. The driver reports she was traveling on the roadway when a vehicle attempting to turn onto the roadway struck her vehicle. No injuries reported.
- Vandalism. Complainant on Crescent Drive reports an unknown actor entered his driveway and drove a vehicle through the backyard rear lawn leaving tire marks.
- Hit and Run Accident. Complainant on Second Street Pike reports an unknown actor backed into a parked vehicle in the parking lot of his business and left the scene.
- Hit and Run Accident. Complainant reports she was traveling on Stoneyford Road at Buck Road stopped at the traffic light intending to make a right hand turn, when a truck scraped the passenger side of her vehicle. The striking vehicle continued traveling on the roadway.
- DUI. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Second Street Pike at New Road. The driver reports he was traveling on the roadway attempting to turn onto New Road when a vehicle entered his lane and struck his vehicle. A strong odor of alcohol was emanating from the male driver of the striking vehicle. A field sobriety test was administered and failed. He was taken into custody. No injuries reported, both vehicles were towed from the scene.
- Theft. Complainant of Drexel Drive reports that an unknown actor removed a patriotic iron lawn eagle from the front of her residence. Value $50.
- Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Buck Road at Chinquapin Road. The driver reports she was traveling on the roadway when a vehicle turned in front of her and she was unable to avoid striking the vehicle. No injuries reported. One vehicle towed from the scene.
- Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Holland Road. The driver reports a vehicle veered around a trash truck into his lane and struck his vehicle. No injuries reported.
