Police In Northampton Make Warrant Arrest, Report Traffic Accidents

One vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole, two others were struck by deer, police said.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Oct. 7 and Oct. 13.

During this tour, patrol handled 13 alarm calls, 7 abandoned 911 calls, 35 medical emergencies, 14 bookings, 7 domestic disputes, 8 civil disputes, 64 traffic monitoring details, and 17 crime prevention details.

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the 1600 block of Hatboro Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling northbound on Hatboro Road when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Tow was required.

October 8

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Newtown-Richboro Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling westbound on Newtown-Richboro Road when it struck a deer. Tow was not required.

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to East Holland Road and Old Jordan Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was stopped on Old Jordan Road and was attempting to turn onto East Holland Road. While turning onto East Holland Road, unit 1 made contact with unit 2 which was traveling westbound on East Holland Road. Tow was not required.
  • Fraud - Complainant was contacted by their bank to see if two purchases were authorized by them. The charges were made in a different state then Pennsylvania. Complainant did not make the two purchases and information was gathered. This case was assigned to detectives.

October 10

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of 2nd Street Pike and New Road for a traffic accident. Unit 2 was traveling northbound on 2nd Street Pike when unit 1 which was traveling on New Road disregarded a red traffic signal. As a result, unit 1 and unit 2 made contact. Tow was required.

October 11

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Upper Holland Road and Township Road for a traffic accident. Unit 2 was stopped on Upper Holland Road at Township Road for a red traffic signal. While stopped, unit 2 was struck from behind by unit 1 which was traveling the same direction. Tow was not required.

October 12

  • Traffic Stop (Warrant Arrest) - Patrol initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation in the area of 2nd Street Pike and Newtown-Richboro Road. Through investigation, the driver was found to have an active warrant. They were taken into custody for the warrant.
  • Traffic Accident (animal involved) - Patrol responded to Jacksonville Road and Pulinski Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling southbound on Jacksonville Road when a deer entered the roadway. As a result, contact was made. Tow was not required.

October 13

  • Vehicle Lockout - Patrol responded to Andrea Drive for a vehicle lockout. Once on location, contact was made with the vehicle owner who reported that they had locked themselves out from their car. Using lockout tools, patrol was able to gain entry.
