Northampton Township Police have released their blotter of recent criminal incidents.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A road rage incident, an underground electrical wire fire, and numerous crashes were among the criminal incidents recently handled by township police.
The Northampton Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the period of July 10 to July 16.
During this tour, Patrol handled 25 alarm calls; 22 abandoned 911 calls; 28 medical calls; eight bookings; eight domestic dispute calls; 11 civil disputes; 61 traffic monitoring details, and 11 crime prevention details.

Identify Theft —The complainant came into headquarters to report attempted identify theft and/or fraud. The complainant states they received a text from their bank asking if they had attempted to do a $2,000 purchase with a company named Globe-Billspay. The complainant contacted their bank and told them they did not, their bank did not authorize the purchase. Later in the day, they received a call from their mother, who lives in a different state, stating she had received a letter addressed to them from Chime Bank indicating an account had been opened in Complainant’s name and with their information. The complainant contacted Chime Bank and advised that the account was fraudulent. Chime Bank canceled the account. The complainant was given identity theft information.

Possession of Controlled Substances —Patrol was dispatched to a business on 2nd Street Pike for a disorderly person. Upon arrival, Patrol found the individual, who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Through investigation, the individual was found to have a controlled substance on their person. They were transported to St. Mary Medical Center for evaluation.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to East Bristol Road and Bustleton Pike for a report of a two-vehicle crash. Unit #1 was attempting to turn off of Bustleton Pike onto East Bristol Road when they were struck by Unit #2 which was traveling on Bustleton Pike in the opposite direction. Unit #1 was towed from the scene and the driver of Unit #2 was transported to the hospital.

Fraud —The complainant came into headquarters to report fraud. The complainant states that in May they discovered that an unknown subject had accessed their investment account and listed themselves as a co-owner and the next day removed $20,000 from the account. The complainant has been in contact with the investment company, and they advised a to file a police report.
Arrest Warrant —While patrol was conducting a traffic stop, the driver was found to have an active Arrest Warrant out of the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. The individual was taken into custody, processed, and released to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office.
Poles/Wires Down —Patrol responded to Old Jordan Road and Wyncoop Court for a report of wires. Upon arrival, Patrol found a tree had come down and taken wires with it. Northampton Fire Department arrived on the scene and moved the tree to the side of the road, contact was made with PECO.

Disturbance —Patrol responded to a parking lot on 2nd Street Pike for a report of a possible fight. The complainant indicated that they pulled into a parking space and an older man approached them and started yelling at them accusing them of reckless driving. Patrol spoke with the older male who was concerned with the driving of the Complainant. Patrol spoke with all parties who then left the area.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Newtown Richboro Road and Burdsal Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was traveling on Newtown Richboro Road, when they failed to stop with traffic and struck Unit #2 in the rear. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. The operator of Unit #2 was transported to St. Mary Medical Center.

Arrest Warrant/Drug Possession —Patrol responded to East Holland and Rafaella Drive for a well-being check. The complainant states that a woman while arguing with the driver at an intersection, had gotten out of the car and was upset. Patrol located the female and she identified herself. She was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. While taking her into custody, she was found to have controlled substances on her person. She was transported back to headquarters, processed, and transported to the Bucks County Prison on her outstanding warrants.
Unemployment Fraud —The complainant came into headquarters to report unemployment fraud. The complainant states that their employer contacted them regarding applying for unemployment, which they did not do. The complainant contacted the state Department of Labor regarding the application and completed a fraud statement, with them.
Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Newtown Richboro Road for a report of two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 had stopped and was signaling to turn left into a parking lot, when Unit #2 proceed to go around Unit #1 on its right, when Unit #1 decided to turn right, instead of left, as their signal was indicating. Both vehicles were driven from the scene and no injuries were reported.

Traffic Accident —Patrol responded to Buck Road for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #2 was stopped at the light when Unit #1 struck Unit #2 in the rear. Both vehicles sustained minor to moderate damage, however, no tow was required. No injuries were reported.
Fires —Patrol responded to Windmill Drive for a report of a fire. The complainant states that there was a significant amount of smoke coming from the sewer grate in front of their home. Upon arrival, the fire company was on the scene and reported an underground utility wire fire. A report was made to PECO, and the fire company remained on the scene until PECO arrived.
Road Rage —The complainant came into headquarters to report a road rage incident. The complainant states that they were driving on Elm Avenue when an unknown vehicle began tailgating them. At the next stop sign, the complainant got out of their vehicle and made contact with the driver from the other vehicle. Words were exchanged before both parties left the area. The complainant was able to get the plate and patrol spoke with the other driver who reported a similar story, but claimed to have not been tailgating. Both parties were advised to call police in the future and not exit their vehicles.

Disabled Vehicle —Patrol responded to Pulinski Road and Eisenhard Drive for a report of a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival, Patrol was met by Northampton Township Fire Department who indicated the vehicle became stuck in the flood water, but that the driver was out of the vehicle and safe. The duty tow was called to remove the vehicle.
Animal Complainant —Patrol responded to Golden Gate Drive for a deer stuck in a fence. Patrol was able to free the deer, and the homeowner was advised to leave the exhausted deer alone in hopes that it would leave the yard on its own.

Wires/Poles Down —Patrol responded to Holland Road for a report of wires down. Upon arrival, the wires were down and unable to be moved by patrol. Verizon was advised of the repair needed.
Traffic accident —Patrol responded to Buck Road for a one-vehicle accident. The complainant states they were traveling on Buck Road and their vehicle skidded on the wet road surface and struck a guard rail. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
