Theft From Vehicle, Altered Check: Northampton Township Police Report
Police also investigated numerous traffic accidents and responded to the report of a water main leak.
RICHBORO, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents between June 24 and June 30.
In addition, patrol officers handled 17 alarm calls, 19 abandoned 911 calls, 31 medical emergencies, 11 bookings, one domestic dispute, five civil disputes, 54 traffic monitoring details, and conducted 11 crime prevention details.
June 24

- Assist Other Police Department (K-9) - Patrol (K9 Unit) assisted Newtown Borough Police Department with an incident that they were handling from their jurisdiction.
- Fraud - A resident came into police headquarters to report that they had mailed out a check in June from their home. In checking, they found that the check had been altered and they were missing the funds from their account. Information was gathered and forwarded to detectives.
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to a parking lot in the 800 block of 2nd Street Pike for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was exiting a parking space when it struck unit 2 which was legally parked. A tow was not required.
June 25
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the intersection of Worthington Mill Road and Twining Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 entered Worthington Mill Road from Twining Road when it struck unit 2. Unit 2 was traveling eastbound on Worthington Mill Road. A tow was not required.
- Fraud - A resident reported that they mailed out a check from their home. In checking their accounts, they found that someone had altered the check. The funds were taken out of the resident’s account, and they were in contact with the bank. Information was gathered and forwarded to detectives.
- Community Relations - Officers spoke to children at a local business regarding summer safety.
June 26

- Vehicle Lockout - Patrol responded to a parking lot in the 800 block of 2nd Street Pike for a vehicle lockout. Once on location, contact was made with the vehicle owner. Patrol was able to gain entry into the vehicle.
June 27
- Road Hazard - A driver reported that an object on Elm Avenue caused damage to their vehicle. Patrol checked and located the object and it was removed from the roadway.
June 28
- Theft from Vehicle - A resident reported that sometime overnight, an unknown individual entered their vehicle on Hilltop Drive and took items. Information was gathered and this report was forwarded to detectives.
- Wires Down - Patrol observed a utility pole wire on the roadway. The wire was removed from the roadway and Verizon was notified.
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Jacksonville Road and Gwyn Lynn Drive. Unit 1 was traveling on Gwyn Lynn Drive and had stopped for the stop sign. Unit 1 then turned onto Jacksonville Road where it struck unit 2. Unit 2 was traveling southbound on Jacksonville Road. A tow was required.
June 29
- Assist Other Police Department - Patrol (K9 Unit) assisted Warminster Township Police Department with an incident that occurred in their jurisdiction.
- Lost Property - A driver reported that they had left their phone on top of their vehicle when they left a nearby business. Patrol checked the area and was able to locate the phone. The phone was returned to the owner.
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to a parking lot in the 1000 block of Hatboro Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was backing out from a parking spot when it struck unit 2 which was driving past. A tow was not required.
June 30
- Water Main Leak - Patrol responded to Yale Drive for the report of water coming up from the roadway. Once on location, patrol observed the water and the Northampton Township Water Authority responded to the scene. The issue was turned over to the Northampton Township Water Authority.
