Vehicle Theft, Attempt Prompts Camera Check Request In Northampton
Northampton Township Police ask residents for security camera reviews after a vehicle was stolen early Tuesday on Spring Garden Mill Drive.
NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The string of vehicle thefts in the township is continuing.
The Northampton Township Police Department is asking residents to check their security cameras along several main and adjacent streets after a report of the theft of a vehicle and an attempted vehicle theft.
Police said cameras should be checked in the area of Spring Garden Mill Drive and adjacent streets and also Cloverly Drive and adjacent streets.

Police said the theft and attempted theft happened sometime overnight, but believe the crimes could have occurred more specifically between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The attempted vehicle theft was on Cloverly Drive while the vehicle theft took place on Spring Garden Mill Drive.

Police said that the vehicles were locked. But police did not specify what vehicle was stolen or any details on the vehicle in the attempted theft.
Over the past few months, the township has reported numerous vehicle thefts and issued warnings and advisories.
In early December, police reported several vehicle thefts in the township's Churchville section. Later last month, police sought camera checks after reports of an attempted vehicle theft and the theft of items from vehicles.
In November, police reported separate vehicle thefts in Richboro and Ivyland, including three vehicles (Rolls Royce, Bentley, and a Lamborghini) were stolen from an Oxford Drive residence in the township's Ivyland section.
In regards to the recent incidents, anyone seeing suspicious people or activity should call the police at 215-322-6111 and ask for the detective division.
