No Hospital Transport in Two-Vehicle Crash in Trappe

Route 113 was closed in both directions with emergency personnel on the scene of accident.

There were no serious injuries among the three people involved in a two-vehicle crash by the intersection of Bronson Circle and Route 113 in Trappe on Thursday evening, according to Chief Brian Long.

A Fed Ex truck and a car were involved in the crash; the driver was the only occupant of the truck, while there was a driver and a passenger in the other vehicle.

The car ended up on a lawn.

evaluated the car's driver and passenger at the scene, and the pair signed release papers waiving further treatment, Long said.

Another Fed Ex truck arrived on the scene to take the packages and continue the route.

In other Trappe Fire news, crew responded to an apartment at 514 W. Main St. around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. A cable box overheated and was smoking; one of the residents blasted the box with a fire extinguisher.

There were no reported injuries, and there was no damage to the residence. Windows were opened to help clear the smoke.

PECO workers arrived at the scene to determine whether or not an electrical problem caused the incident. Comcast was also reportedly responding.
