Report: Sheriff's Deputy Suffers Minor Injuries in One-Vehicle Crash

Montgomery County Sheriff's Department Deputy Mike Rossi said he fell asleep behind the wheel of his Ford Explorer, resulting in a one-car crash in the 170 block of Main Street in Trappe this afternoon, according to early reports.

Rossi was traveling westbound on Main Street when he fell asleep, grazed a telephone pole, crossed the yard of and ended up in a tree, reports from the scene indicate.

He was driving his personal vehicle, and no one was injured. He walked away with minor cuts and scrapes, according to early reports.
