PHILADELPHIA – On Tuesday, Jan. 16, the Philadelphia Free Library will host a conversation with the author of the new book "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" that has caused uproar from President Donald Trump and his administration after scathing excerpts were released to the public this week.
Journalist Michael Wolff, who was reportedly given unfettered to take notes in the Trump Administration White House, will sit down with WHYY columnist and "Writer in Residence" at the University of Pennsylvania Dick Polman for the conversation on the new book.
Wolff's book was written based on more than 200 interviews with Trump and senior members of his team and tells the inside story of the daily chaos, backstabbing, and discord of the volatile Trump administration, according to the Free Library.

The book made waves after it was reported former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon called a meeting between Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort and people said to represent the Russian government "treasonous" and "unpatriotic."
Amid the fervor of the book's contents, the book's release was moved up a few days and released Friday, Jan. 5 after it set off a firestorm in D.C., with Trump threatening to sue the publisher if it was released.
Wolff is a prominent media critic and columnist whose work has appeared in the British GQ, The Guardian and The Hollywood Reporter.
