The Eagles, James Taylor Playing Citizens Bank Park July 28

PHILADELPHIA – Baby boomers and classic rock aficionados can relive the days of glory next summer at Citizens Bank Park, as legendary rockers The Eagles and folk singer-songwriter James Taylor are set to play the stadium in 2018.

Announced Tuesday, Nov. 21, The Eagles are embarking on a North American tour that begins in March at Chicago's United Center and ends July 28 right here in Philadelphia.

During the tour, the "Hotel California" writers will be joined by Chris Stapleton and Jimmy Buffet.

But its James Taylor & His All-Star Band who will join the six-time-Grammy-winning band in Philadelphia. Both The Eagles and James Taylor received Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

Tickets for the Philadelphia show go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. American Express Card Members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10 a.m.

Additional presale opportunities will be available beginning Thursday, Nov. 30.

Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster.com.

In January 2016, fans and the music community mourned the death of Glen Frey who was a founding member of The Eagles.
